For enterprises, setting up Stellar payments just got as easy as filling out a form. With hosted mode, the Stellar Disbursement Platform removes the need for integration, making it plug-and-play for deployments like aid distribution or payroll.

🌐 Freighter App Browser
A new “Discover” tab inside the Freighter wallet enables dApps to integrate directly, users no longer have to jump between browser tabs. It’s a Web3-native UX finally built for convenience.
💻 CLI Enhancements
The command-line interface gets a power-up, giving devs deeper control over transaction crafting, contract management, and network data. For those building sophisticated apps or automations, this is huge.
🔌 RPC Upgrades
The upgraded Remote Procedure Call (RPC) interface now merges asset and Soroban transaction data in a standardized format. This means higher performance for SDKs and tools built on top of it, without breaking existing implementations.
🗃 CDP 1.0
Need historical network data? CDP brings customizable ingestion and GO based parsing to the table. Whether you’re building analytics dashboards or auditing, this reduces complexity and resource overhead.
🔧 Freighter Backend + 📱 Freighter Mobile App
Freighter’s backend is being modularized as a reusable service, simplifying wallet development. Also the Freighter mobile app is launching for both iOS and Android, mirroring the browser extension.

📊 ETL Enhancements
Analytics platforms now get an upgraded Stellar ETL with curated datasets and extensible schemas. This means better, cleaner insights for apps needing network level intelligence.
⚡️ 5,000 TPS Goal
Stellar is gunning for 5,000 transactions per second by optimizing smart contract execution with ahead of time compilation, concurrency, and caching. For developers and users, this opens the door to high-volume use cases, from DeFi to global remittances to high performance web3 applciations.
💸 New SDP Payment Flows
SDP will now handle all major payment types, crypto and fiat. Enterprises can now run their entire financial stack on-chain, simplifying operations and improving transparency.
🤖 Stella AI Assistant
What started as a Discord bot is morphing into a full-stack AI assistant with UI and platform-agnostic capabilities. Stella will become the go-to dev companion, doc search, code help, onboarding, and maybe even debugging… Which will be very useful for myself and other Soroban devs.

🔐 Freighter Advanced Auth
Security meets UX. With smart wallet support, users will gain advanced authentication (e.g., passkeys, social login) and dynamic security based on wallet value. This is key for onboarding mainstream users.
🔬 Lab 4.0
Lab 4.0 brings in deep transaction simulation, profiling, and debugging tools. It’s like strapping a microscope to your smart contracts—find issues before they ever hit mainnet.
🚀 2.5 Second Block Times
Stellar core is targeting 2.5s ledger close times, half the current speed, by improving consensus and pipelining. For real-time finance apps, every second counts, and this doubles the responsiveness of the network.
👛 SDP Single Use Wallets
Need to send money to someone who’s never touched crypto? Now, enterprises can spin up wallets on-demand for end users. It’s onboarding without friction, perfect for disbursements, rewards, or aid.
🤖 Contract Copilot
This AI assistant will write boilerplate, lint your code for security bugs, and help you test your Soroban smart contracts. If paired with an online IDE (fingers crossed), it could be the single most impactful dev tool of the year.
Major Scalability Upgrades Coming in 2025
🏗 OpenZeppelin Token Standards
Standardized, audited contracts for fungible, non-fungible, and even real-world assets are on the way. This makes deploying trustworthy tokens on Stellar way easier and massively lowers the barrier to secure dApp development.
🛡 2x Tier 1 Resilience
The network is expanding its Tier-1 organizations from 7 to 13, bolstering decentralized governance and fault tolerance. More nodes = more robustness = less risk of downtime.
💰 100x Payout Capacity with Merkle Trees
Mass disbursements like aid or rewards will benefit from 100x improvements in transaction batching, thanks to automated Merkle tree compression. This is scalability done smart.
